Activities - A Day in the Life...

A day in the life of our Playgroup really means a morning, but a jam-packed morning!

Briefly:

9.00am. Arrival. The children are signed in by their parent or carer before they choose from a variety of activities that have been carefully planned. This allows them to develop self-esteem, good social skills and enjoy the world of discovery through play.

9.20am. Register is called. Time to share news and for singing or storytime.

9.35am. Back to play!

10.20am. Tidy-up time and then unwind by choosing a book to look at each before...

10.40am. Snack time – time for refuelling! Children sit together at the tables to have a drink and healthy snack.

11.00am. Time to burn off some more energy as it is ‘free play’ – bikes, trucks, slide or PE equipment. A quieter activity is provided and we also have an outdoor play area.

11.30am. We end the morning by singing, music time, story or group activity.

12.00pm. Time to go home. Children remain sitting on their chair please, until their parent or designated adult collects them from the circle. Optional Lunch Club till 1.00pm.
