During the Coronavirus pandemic, ‘virtual’ worship will be posted on the Christchurch United Church Facebook page. These videos will also be available on the website shortly afterwards. Please click on title above.
The ‘virtual’ worship can be viewed on Facebook or below.
Good morning and welcome once more to our online service. This will include a celebration of Holy Communion so you may wish to prepare some bread and wine if you haven’t already done so.
Our worship begins with the hymn “Come, let us sing of a wonderful love”. This “virtual” version by a Methodist/URC church near Reading, may not be the most technically proficient but it sounds “real” (and well done to them for putting it together!): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S5G5YHsAgA0.
We close our service with the song “Sent forth by God’s blessing”. By far the best version of this was a Catholic version which refers to the Mass, so I didn’t choose it. So here are two others to choose from: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yn8BFXExShk – Congregational but not very exciting. Or: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nt2aU6ItXt0 – a solo version which in my opinion has a bit more life to it.
God bless and thanks for “joining” us.
